This August marks three years since Eastern Tire & Auto Service opened our doors at 70 Rockville St in Rockport. What started as an expansion of our Rockland roots has grown into a true second home — and a testament to what employee ownership can build.
When we opened in Rockport in August 2023, it was a big step for a company that had spent decades as a single-location shop. Today, Rockport is a full-fledged part of the Eastern Tire family, with its own dedicated team, a growing customer base, and services like our WoolWax undercoating and rotating Garage Gallery art exhibitions that reflect the character of the Midcoast community it serves.
Three years in, Rockport has become more than a second location — it’s proof that our employee-ownership model scales. The same values that have guided Eastern Tire since 1946 — quality work, honest service, and a team invested in the outcome — made the leap across town without missing a beat.
We’re grateful to the Rockport community for welcoming us in, and to our employee-owners who’ve helped this location grow from a fresh start into a trusted neighborhood shop. Here’s to the next three years — and many more after that.
Eastern Tire & Auto Service is proud to be 100% employee-owned, with locations in Rockland and Rockport, Maine.
